Mr. Shy guy was my co-passenger in the boat while crossing the river to the North side of the city.

The ruins at Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a window into a past drawing pilgrims, believers, archeologists and photographers.
This is a small section of the very tiring walk up towards Tirupati. Lonely Planet claims : “it’s said that Venkateshwara Temple eclipses Jerusalem, Rome and Mecca for sheer numbers of pilgrims.” (src:http://www.lonelyplanet.com/india/andhra-pradesh/tirumala-and-tirupathi)!
