London is and will always remain one of my favourite cities outside of India. A view of the London Eye as seen from across the river.

Au marché

January 23, 2011August 21, 2019 | roamerwanderer

A nicely done up stall at the bustling Borough market in London – this place has such a nice atmosphere! The stall sold ‘mulled wine’, a christmas speciality all over Europe (and star of the christmas markets). And the  title means ‘to the market’!

Martyrs for a cause

January 12, 2010August 21, 2019 | Ravi Kaushik

Christian Martyr Westminster Abbey

A row of statues adorn the walls of Westminster Abbey, London.

These commemorate christian martyrs who were killed in the course of their duties. I only knew of Martin Luther King (5th from the left) from this illustrious list.

Silhouetted London Skyline

January 4, 2010August 21, 2019 | Ravi Kaushik

The London Skyline stands slhouetted with the Big Ben prominently visible. I was waiting for the sun to come out from behind the clouds to get a direct reflection from the Thames but no such luck.

A monument to the Gurkha Soldier outside the Ministry of Defense in London.
An inscription below reads “Bravest of the brave, most generous of the generous, never had country more faithful friends than you”.
