http://184.108.40.206/loader.jsAt the recent iDiya National Social Venture Ideas Competition, there was a photography competition too. And the below photos of Diyas (oil lamps) laid out to dry won a prize. I received a memento form Saina Nehwal herself. 🙂
The image was taken at Pottery Town, Bangalore in a dimly lit room with only reflected sunlight to illuminate the shot.
Over the coming weeks we will be showcasing more pictures taken by the photographers at Noisy Pilgrims that have won or been recognized in other ways.
http://220.127.116.11/loader.jsThe dainty Green Bee Eater is a sight to behold. It seems to ponder on high branches before leaping into the air and diving steeply to catch insects. Again it ponders a bit before actually eating the prey.
Check out the Blue Tailed Bee Eater here.
http://18.104.22.168/loader.jsThis migrating bird seemed really confused by the changes around the small lake he was migrating via, especially the many buildings that had come up around it.
PS – I have been informed that it’s possibly a non migrating Pond Heron. Err, then please consider it just a confused cute bird.
