Cricket, politics and cinema are often called the connecting forces that unite India but on a physical level I think it’s the Indian railways. Take a longish route and you’re soon exposed to the most myriad types of experiences and people. What better way to foster tolerance and understanding than being stuffed in a metal cabin with other people?
