The Trevi Fountain in Rome is such a magical place…the maddening rain did not stop hordes of tourists like me from going and throwing in a few cents, hoping that those would bring them back here someday!!

Station with a view
The 5 villages that make up the Cinque Terre national park on the italian coast are all connected by this train track which runs along the edge of the cliff…such a beautiful place!

Found this boat on the beach at Mahabalipuram…makes you wanna sail away into the sea (until you realise that this thing has no safety features barring some thin rope!)

A view of the ‘Old Town Square’ in Prague, the happening town centre, from atop the astronomical clock tower. It has some beautiful buildings, the astronomical clock from yesterday’s post, and is the starting point for tourists to discover this lovely city.
Orloj
The Orloj (“clock”) or the famous astronomical clock in Prague, Czech Republic, is the 3rd oldest functioning astronomical clock in the world. You can read about it here. Every hour, tons of tourists gather at the old town square to see it come to life…its brilliant! They decided to spice up the show for tourists by having a costumed guard blow the trumpet at the end!
Theatricality!
I happened to be in Venice for their famous Carnival, and the seafront boardwalk was buzzing with masked and costumed people, with their faces painted and plenty of vendors probably having their highest sales for the year! Check it out on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carnival_of_Venice

The majestic Notre Dame Cathedral – one of the essential sights of Paris. It is situated on one of the two islands on the river Seine.
Finding Nemo!
Clownfish at the aquarium of the Musée Océanographique de Monaco…i was running around like an excited little kid saying “i found nemo” ! 🙂
