It is hard to see a good sunset in the city these days, esp. when you look to the west and see buildings reaching for the sky.
I always try to catch a sunset when I visit any coast, a rare sight, for me atleast.
This one is shot somewhere along the coast in south-west India. The light reflecting of the sea just completely illuminates the world around you in a yellow-orange hue. Simply astounding!
Onam is a festival mainly celebrated in Kerala every year. It is a harvest festival, although there is a mythological story to it too. You can read it here.
Seen here is a typical flower decoration/arrangement called pookallam.

This little fella came out when the rains had just reduced to a drizzle. I assume its really hard work for a small creature to climb up a 5 foot wall.
The Moonsoons in India are quite a sight. The seas/beaches are quite rough, but are a great sight.

Checklist to travel at high speeds
1. A vehicle that can go fast!
2. A person who can drive.
3. A long road.. preferably without turns or sharp curves.
4. Life insurance.. in case of pessimistic outcomes. 😛
This just reminded me a lot of the movie Shutter Island. Gives a really creepy feeling.. especially with the rain and the stormy sea.
The reality of it is that this place is really just a romance spot 🙂
The light house is mostly not functional and is used by “tourists” to be “alone” 😛

It’s all in the eyes. That’s all it takes to instill fear. This cat (yea.. tiger) does that well, even when it is dead and stuffed.
