A mammoth church tower is all that stands of the Church of St Augustine at Goa. From what I remember reading at an information board at Old Goa, the church was abandoned due to the repressive policies of the Portuguese government. The Augustines were forced to abandoned the church and its was demolished and later neglect finished it off.
