My first sunset at Leh. I reached Leh absolutely battered both by exhaustion and the altitude. But what truly knocked the wind out of me was this spectacular view. The Shanti Stupa was built with Japanese collaboration and is obviously intended to propagate world peace.
Nevertheless, the reverberance of peace was slightly dampened with the looming threat from our not so friendly neighbors . However, standing in the dwindling light of the day, I truly wished for lasting peace for this beautiful land.
